The Village Hall will be closed Monday, September 2, 2019 for the Labor Day weekend. Garbage that week will be picked up on Thursday, September 5th, 2019

Brian Budil-State Farm will hold the Second Annual, Classic Cars in the Oldest Village car show! Hosted at their office, 4 North Deer Point, August 3rd – from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Deer Point Rd will be closed to southbound traffic. Cars will not be able to exit southbound to Rt 120 during this time from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Come and enjoy the Cars, food, and family activities!

ATTENTION DOG OWNERS: Recently loose dogs have been involved in serious attacks on other dogs and have chased and threatened Village residents. Hainesville’s ordinance requires that all dogs be leashed or fenced when they are outside. Owners of the loose dog can be fined or, as in the most recent incident, be held liable in civil court for hospital and veterinary bills. Please maintain control of your dogs at all times.

Hainesville Civil War will take place October 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and October 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Northbrook Sports Club property.

Solicitor’s MUST have a picture ID from the Village. If an unwanted solicitor approaches you, call the police non-emergency immediately at 847-223-2341.

Lawns must be kept mowed! Also remember when walking dogs, they must be on a leash and walkers must carry receptacle for droppings and dispose of them in the proper container.


The Village of Hainesville no longer requires an Occupancy Inspection when a property is closing, however, if you are renting your property an inspection will still need to take place. The cost is $50 every time an inspector is dispatched and they are done Monday through Thursday mornings. Look for more information regarding Rental Inspections coming soon.
