SEPTEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Category: News & Announcements

OVERNIGHT PARKING BAN IN PLACE – Since the beginning of Illinois’ shelter in place order, the Village of Hainesville has not strictly enforced the overnight street parking ban.  We recognized that with residents not going to work and students not going off to school, that it would more than likely result in more cars than usual needing a place to park.
Now that many have returned to work and students are off to college, we will, as of September 1, 2020 begin enforcing the parking ban.  This means that, with few exceptions, vehicles may not be parked on the street between the hours of 2 a.m. until 6 a.m.  If, the situation changes we will re-evaluate this decision. If you have any questions regarding this, please call the Village Hall.

CIVIL WAR EVENT CANCELLED – The Civil War Event scheduled for this year has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus concerns and the dictates from the Illinois state government. We do plan to hold the event next year on the 16th & 17th of October 2021.

DOG OWNERS – Please remember that when you are walking your dog, it MUST be leashed.
