MARCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

EFFECTIVE MARCH 24, 2020, ADVANCED DISPOSAL IS IMPLEMENTING THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO OUR VILLAGE OF HAINESVILLE COLLECTION SERVICE:

  • All trash/refuse and recycling must be placed in the company designated cart. Loose items outside of the container will not be collected.
  • All bulk item pickup/collection is suspended until further notice.
  • The 2020 seasonal yard waste program start date has been postponed from April 1st until May 1st. All yard waste accumulated in April will be removed from the curb on May 6th.

                      Help Wanted Seasonal Laborer- Public Works
The majority of the work will be performed outdoors with occasional indoor work. Daily duties may include: Tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, chipping, raking, and watering. Lawn mowing and weed trimming. Individuals will assistance with the maintenance of the Village’s streets and infrastructure with the repair, construction, and maintenance of Village streets, storm sewers, signage and facilities. Daily duties may include: pot hole patching, sign replacement, fence repairs, concrete replacement and assisting with storm sewer repairs.

Hours: up to 40 per week between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday – Friday.  Position would run from May 1 through November 13 (flexible) Salary is $12.00 per hour. No benefits are included.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Illinois Driver License. Must successfully pass drug and alcohol screening, criminal background and driving record check. Must be able to lift or carry a weight up to 50 lbs.  Send your resume to mdepouw@hainesville.org
