Individuals will follow a watering maintenance schedule and provide flower beds, medians, and trees with adequate watering throughout the season.

Other duties will include:

• Following a maintenance map of the towns buffalo boxes, record, report on condition, test, and repair as needed.
• Sweeping, mopping, cleaning counters and toilets, washing vehicles inside and out.
• Assisting the crew when needed as directed by supervisor.

Job has repetitive tasks each week. Individuals must be ready to be outside for majority of their shift (even when it’s 90°+) and be independently driven. No work will be needed on rain days, unless scheduled with supervisor.

Hours: 7:00am and 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. 30 minute lunch unpaid.

Position Start: May 1st, 2024. Position will continue until October 25th depending on schedule or till employee reaches 1000 hrs in the calendar year. Interviews will start in April and decisions will be made by April 19th. 1 position to be filled.

Salary: $15.00 per hour. No benefits are included.

• Must successfully pass drug and alcohol screening, criminal background and driving record check.

Seasonal Laborer – Public Works

Individuals will be responsible for the maintenance of the Village’s property and assist with the repairs and construction of various projects throughout.

Duties will include:

• Trees – tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, using a chipper.
• Village cleanup – storm damage, clean drains, pickup passed animals, garbage removal.
• Landscaping – tree planting, spreading mulch on paths and trees, grass repair.
• Asphalt repairs, concrete replacement, assisting with storm sewer repairs.
• Any other tasks including vehicle maintenance and janitorial work as directed by supervisor.

Job is labor intensive and has both unique and repetitive tasks each week. Individuals must be ready to be outside for majority of their shift (even when it’s 90°+) and be independently driven. Work will be canceled on most rain days unless scheduled with supervisor.

Hours: 7:30am and 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. 30 minute lunch unpaid. Occasionally it will be requested to start at 7am if the job for the day requires it. Request will be asked the prior day.

Position Start: May 6th, 2024. Position will continue until October 25th depending on schedule or till employee reaches 1000 hrs in the calendar year. Interviews will start in April and decisions will be made by April 19th. 3 positions to be filled.

Salary: $17.00 per hour. No benefits are included.
